Who is Alpha for?
Over 2.5 million people in the UK have done Alpha, and over 27 million worldwide. It is primarily designed for people who wouldn’t normally go to church, but is open to anyone who wants to explore some of life’s biggest questions. People do Alpha for a variety of reasons – some are interested in whether God exists, others have attended church in the past but feel they have never understood the basics. Alpha is a no-pressure course, which means we won’t chase you up if you decide not to come back. So come along and see if it’s for you!

Stray Fireworks Doughnuts Giveaway – 4th Nov

G blurredOn Saturday 4th November we’ll be giving away thousands of free doughnuts

If you’re heading to the Stray on the Saturday evening to the bonfire & watch the awesome fireworks display, keep an eye out for our team who will be giving away free doughnuts (either jam-filled, or with a fat-free centre!) to everyone walking past.

We’ll be based at the pedestrian crossing near the Cedar Court hotel, opposite the bonfire, from 6pm.

We just want to show you God’s love in a practical way.
A blessing with no strings attached!

Dig – monthly prayer meeting

Dig-monthlyprayerAs we have met together over the past year, the Lord has given us many pictures and words of encouragement.  Many of these have been about digging: deep wells, drilling for oil, ploughing the frozen ground, living water rushing forth. As we have reflected on these words and brought them before the Lord, we have felt His call to pray, to dig.

We will meet each month on a Monday evening 8-9pm in the home of Nik and Maggie.

Next meeting: Monday 16th October

We will always pray for…
  • God’s Kingdom to come in Harrogate and District.

We pray for the rule and reign of Jesus to be established within our communities.

  • Friends and Families

We pray for the rule and reign of Jesus to be established in ourselves, our friends and our families. We pray for those who are far from God and do not know His love. We intercede for them.

  • Harrogate Vineyard Church

Growing things change and changing things grow! We thank God for bringing health and growth to His Church. We are thankful and pray that He brings more! We pray for our meetings at St Aidan’s and other events; that God would continue to bless and grow them. We pray for our finances, that we would be able to walk out the vision that God has placed in our hearts. We pray for new people to find a relationship with Jesus and make this church their home.

  • Hearing from Heaven

As we pray for all the Lord has placed on our hearts, we take time to listen. We come before him expectantly.  We ask for prophetic words, words of encouragement, pictures and scripture.

The response…

We’d be delighted to hear any prophetic words or pictures God gives you as you pray, so we can feed them back to the rest of the Church.

If you do have anything you’d like to share, please send it via the ‘Get Connected’ page (just click on the link above), or hand us a note at housegroup, Brunch or Sunday at Costa.

Happy praying!

We now meet on Wednesdays & Thursdays from 8pm to spend some time worshipping God, have some teaching/discussion on bible related topics, pray for each other and generally hang out and eat lovely snacks!
